Christian Louboutin sample sale

Fashionistas in New York went recessionista crazy at the Christian Louboutin sample sale last week, turning up at 6.30am for the 9am start and behaving so competitively the PR had to threaten to kick some of the shoppers out. (Come on, ladies – those red-soled shoes demand some respect…) And it was a similar story in London this week, with the first fashion editor starting queuing a week early! ‘Haha, some girls got the date wrong!’ the lovely Anne Muhlethaler at Christian Louboutin told us. ‘I found them at the door, puzzled! Really the first one was a 7am and she had to cope with the rain, which means she is really dedicated!’ Well so would you be with the chance of getting your hands on beautiful Louboutins at a third of the price. And the thought sent some eager fashion editors into overdrive. We saw a couple of fights over – two girls, a foot in each hand, refusing to give it up! – and at least three girls leaving with six pairs of shoes each. Now that’s what we call a shopping binge…
